Alice
years active: 1990 - 1997

Hardrock band founded in 1990 in Pilsen. The next year they already appear on tour with the most popular Czech band Lucie. The first two albums are produced by David Koller (ex-Lucie), the third by Ivan Kral (ex-Patti Smith Group). Their succes is based on the expressive voice of Dan Barta, who step by step tends to more jazzy music and the hardrock image is too bounding for him. After 1997 the activities of the band are reduced to occasional concerts. Comback attempt in 2005 in a changed line-up was unsuccessful. The band has not been officially dismissed; however, their appearance in concerts is quite rare.
