Singer: one of the most famous Czech female singers; 9-time-winner of Czech Nightingale Chart (1977-85). Since 1964 recordings for Ostrava Radio (Dinda, Mrtva laska). Cooperation with Flamingo (Svatej kluk, Honey), TOCR (Czech Radio Orchestra) and Sodoma Gomora Band. In the beginnings representative of „beat chanson“, later changing more and more to commercial pop music (K. Vagner Orchestra). Author of the most famous songs (Maluj zase obrázky, Kapky, Kdyby se vrátil čas) and dozens of lyrics was Pavel Zak, also a lot of songs by Hadl, Hapka, Ondracek, Rotter, Zahradnik, Zmozek. The most criticised period was 1981-85, i.e. cooperation with pop singers duo Hlozek+Kotvald. In the late 1980's back to more serious albums and close cooperation with Michal Horacek (20 lyrics). After joining the anti-communist movement she was banned by the official authorities; later she took part in the Czech „Velvet Revolution“ movement. Cooperation with Jiri Brezik on the albums since 1998. Nine-times winner of the pop fans' contest Golden Nightingale (1977-1985); after the contest changed name to Czech Nightingale, she steadily takes place in the top ten ever since. <br><br> Actress: studied at the Brno Academy, she delighted the reviewers in her TV performance Josefina (1968). Remarkable role in Semafor Theatre performance Kytice(1972-74). Starring in famous movie Trhak by Zdenek Podskalsky (1980). <br><br> Songwriter: she has written lyrics for 50 of her songs (Honey, Mrtva laska, Zda se, Cerny pav, Lito, je mi lito). <br><br> Screenwriter: Czech TV has recorded 8 parts of „Dluhy Hany Zagorove“ (Debts of HZ) on her own screenplay; also 38 parts of the programme „Kdyz nemuzu spat“(When I Cannot Sleep, 1993-98). <br><br> [Written by: Petr Novy]
