Peter P. Petko (1713-1793)

adherent of the Piaristic Church from Slovak small town Podolinec (East of High Tatra Mountains). He finished his studies of philosophy and theology here, later he became the professor of speech. He composed most of his spiritual works for the local choir; his style was in transition from baroque and classical music. His melody and instrumentation is heavily influenced by North Slovakian traditional musicians.
