Four Meditation
years active: 1966 - 1968

Slovak "big-beat" band, inspired by Cream and Jimmy Hendrix; also performing under the name The Meditating Four. The band was banned by the communist censors after the Russian troups invaded Czechoslovakia in 1968, because of the song Purpurovy smutok (Purple Sadness), althought the song itself was recorded prior to the invasion.
