Kocianova, Jana

Popular Slovak female singer. In 1970s became a Czechoslovak pop star thanks to performing alongside Karel Gott. Awarded Golden Bratislava Lyre in 1976. She likes to switch between genres; besides pop with Karel Gott singing also chanson or traditional gypsy music (performing with Antonin Gondolan and other folklore bands). On her solo career, she sings jazz, blues and gospel.
