OK Band
active from year 1980
controversial band of Vladimir Kocandrle. Most popular in their early years in the time of the New Wave boom. One of a few bands supported by the communist officials with whom Kocandrle openly cooperated at the time most of the other bands in the genre were banned. Well calculated mixture of new wave, new romance and electronic disco that sold well, thanks to Kocandrle's professional skills as musician and arranger. In the 90's, Kocandrle started his own business (music label Monitor), trying to come back in 1999-2003.
