Saze ( Soot )
active from year 1963

Originally rock'n'roll band (according to some sources co-founded by Ivan Kral before he emigrated to USA with his parents in 1966). On the turn of 1960s-1970s disbanded; two singers and songwriters Burian-Vokrinek continued under the original name singing folk. Their home scene became the Semafor Theatre, later separate concerts and recordings with excellent satirical lyrics of Drahos Cadek, Ivo Marek or Ondrej Suchy (brother of Jiri Suchy). In duo with Burian several musicians appeared, later Burian tries rock sound in larger line-up again. In 1988 disbanded because of Burian's vocal chords disease. After 1990 Burian starts again with new rock'n'roll line-up. The definitive end comes with Burian's death in 2008.
