Pulnoc ( Midnight )
years active: 1988 - 1993
cultic underground band, created in fact by renaming the band Plastic People Of The Universe, which was banned at that time. After the revolution in 1989 they stepped out of "illegality", playing melodic music for broader audience and had several remarkable hits (Hochu zlatej on album #1, Houby/White Mushrooms on #2). The lead woman-singer Michaela Němcová was regarded as "Czech Nico" because of her voice and appearance. After several years Pulnoc has disappeared; the musicians went on in several other bands (among others, Plastic People Of The Universe were recreated in the mid-90's)
