Plameny ( Flames )
years active: 1971 - 1979
musical band founded by the Czech Central Committee of the Socialist Youth Union with the intent to spread the "ideologically correct" culture among young people. Regardless the repelling origin and pro-communist oriented repertoir, tha band did not belong to the worst of the Czech pop of that time, at least due to good technical level of the musicians. A part of the band since 1973 was the vocal group Planety which sometimes performed without the band as well.
