Yo Yo Band
years active: 1975 - 2003
band of Tesarik Brothers from Hanspaulka district of Prague. Together with Babalet the greatest pioneers of reggae in former Czechoslovakia. Beginnings as vocal quartet singing soul. In the early 80's regarded as New Wave band, although they mostly played reggae; later inspiration by other ethnic styles (both african and latin-american). Band practically ends in 2003 after Vladimir Tesarik's tragical death, though it has never been officially disbanded and they meet from time to time for occasional concerts.
