Stivin, Jiri
active from year 1960
top musician, composer & leader, since early 60's a leading personality of Czech jazz, rock and musical culture at all. In 1961-62 member of rock'n'roll pioneer band Sputnici, goes throug the age of jazzrock (Jazz Q with Martin Kratochvil), chamber jazz (Karel Velebny's SHQ), records classical music (Vivaldi etc.), on his later recordings joining the influence of all genres into original musical compositions outside of any boundaries. E.g. album Zrcadleni is a trip to minimal music with the best Czech jazz woman singer at that time, Mirka Krivankova.
