Maci
years active: 1976 - 1993

Folk band originally from Kladno, founded by Jaroslav Samson Lenk after his return from the military service in 1976. Before the band found its own style, Lenk left to start another band, Bagr. After the original Maci disbanded, he took the name back, officially relocated the band to Prague, invited Jarka Jamajka Koblicova and Petr Vohnout to join the band, which started the most successful period of the band's life, crowned with several awards on popular Porta folk&country music festivals.
