The Primitives Group
years active: 1965 - 1969

cultic psychedelic band from Prague, covering songs of F. Zappa, The Fugs, The Doors, Velvet Underground, Animals etc. The original name Primitivove changed in February 1967 to Primitives Group, after the new manager Eugen Fiala joined the band. In 1969 disbanded after Ivan Hajnis emigrated to Sweden; the guitarist and later keyboardist Josef Janicek moved to Plastic People which followed up with a similar kind of music. In 2016 Hajnis built a new band under the same name.
