Terne Chave
active from year 1988

popular Gypsy band (called "Young Boys" in gypsy language) originally from Hradec Králové. They play a mixture of traditional gypsy music with rock'n'roll, latin music and other influences. Their unique style is sometimes called Rom'n'roll. The band existed even back in late 1980s, successfully competing in the Czech folk&country music contest Porta'89. In 1990s disbanded, partly because of a rising skinhead movement in the country. Coming back about 2000, receiving a warm welcome not only on domestic scene but also abroad, taking part in a number of world music festivals all around the world.
