Janda, Dalibor
active from year 1980
pop singer, favored mostly by the female part of public due to his crude voice and touching songs of simple lyrics and melodies. In 1986-1988 three times winner of the Golden Nightingale Czech pop music award; all his albums released before 1990 were golden (i.e. more than 200 000 sold copies). After the fall of communism and opening of the musical market in the Czech Republic, his popularity fell down. Janda continues to release his recordings in small volumes on his own label Hurikan Racords.
