Musical foundations received in Německý Brod probably from Antonin Ignac Stamic, father of the famous Jan Vaclav Stamic.. Later studied music in Prague and Vienna. relocated to Warsaw to play in the royal court ensemble, which was relocated to Dresden in about 1733. Played violin in Berlin for several years, together with Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. Since 1758 became a member of Mannheim Court Orchestra, in the head of which he replaced the deceased Jan Vaclav Stamic, and stays there for the rest of his life. He composed mostly violin concertos, sonatas and symphonies.
